A Note About Game Updates

As mentioned in the game description I put this together over the course of a few weeks as an opportunity to learn the Godot game engine. Since I was starting from scratch, the initial architecture is an absolute mess. I didn't even learn that GDScript supported classes until 2 weeks into development. Most of the features are shoehorned in, it's poorly optimized, and I doubt there's much more I can do with it before the whole house of cards falls apart. It's basically a functional prototype.

All of that is to say I have no concrete plans for additional features or content. As a learning exercise it worked great, and I'm proud of how much I accomplished, but for this game to progress any further I would be forced to rewrite it from scratch first. I will of course make a good faith effort to fix any egregious bugs—especially ones that cause the game to crash—but that's probably about as much as I could manage.

I hope you'll all enjoy this game for what it is, and I really hope this inspires anyone with an interest in developing their own game to give it a shot! I can't imagine a more beginner-friendly game engine than Godot, and even the GDScript language it uses is simple enough that non-programmers could pick it up with relative ease.
